I am Alexandra Dubini and I am a research scientist. I dedicated my work to renewable energy production by working on green algae with biofuel application for the last 13 years. My goal is to develop environmentally friendly sources of energy to reduce carbon emission.
I have been selected to be part of the Homeward Bound (HB) program which will gather 80 women from all over the world with different scientific expertise. We will undertake a year-long state-of-the-art program to develop our leadership and strategic capabilities.
The goal is to create a network of women who will influence and contribute to the decisions that will determine the future of our world. The program will end with a 3 weeks expedition to Antarctica in February 2018.
This is the largest all-female expedition to fight climate change and inequality.
Why did I apply for a leadership program for women?
As a woman I want to support women into leadership roles, strategic positions and help shape policy and decision making, especially supporting actions to reduce the effects of climate change.
